ATC Senior Singers welcomes all singers from Year 7-12 at Ambrose Treacy College. The ensemble rehearses weekly with conductor Mr Joshua Clifford and talented accompanist Mr Christian Gante. They form the backbone of singing at the College leading Masses, Liturgies, and special school occasions. ATC Senior Singers also enjoy a busy performance schedule including the Queensland Youth Music Awards, Queensland Catholic Colleges Music Festival, ATC Formal Music Concert and the annual Choral Concert. They are very excited to be taking part in Pemulwuy! in 2023 and looking forward to working with like-minded singers, conductors and artists.

The Brotherhood from St. Laurence's College has a strong reputation as a substantial Male Changed Voice School Choir in Queensland. It is an un-auditioned group and is one of seven choirs at St. Laurence's involving 220 boys. The choir leads the school in sung worship and is also involved in concerts in the community. The Brotherhood has performed throughout Australia and has toured to New Zealand, China, England, Ireland, the United States, Hungary, Austria and Czech Republic. The group has attended every single Pemulwuy and the current members are thrilled to be able to continue this great tradition.

Bunbury Men of Song began in a very small way in 1998.

Since that time through the talents of its Musical Directors and Accompanists and the dedication and hard work of its members, the choir has grown to have over 30 members, and is enjoying success and acclaim in its performances in Western Australian and across the rest of our nation. The choir has performed at Pemulwuy the triennial National Male Voice Festival in Brisbane on many occasions and has toured across Queensland, around Tasmania and performed at the Hobart Festival of Voice. In 2016 we participated in the Pusteria Valley International Choral Festival in Italy and then toured across the Western Front performing including singing with the Prague Male Voice Choir and in a solo concert in Paris. 

In 2020 Bunbury Men of Song were the only Australian Choir to successfully audition and be accepted to compete in the International Eisteddfod in Llangollen in Wales.  Sadly COVID put an end to all these plans. 

Our members come from almost every walk of life. We have students, those seeking work, labourers and trades people, professionals, retired persons and more. Some were born in Australia, others have come to make their home here from various places around the world. Our members comment on the ready welcome that they are given, the friendship they are offered and the genuine care and support they find as members of Bunbury Men of Song. Some of our members can read music and have sung before. Others have not had that opportunity, but together under the direction of our Musical Director, Greg Ross, we learn to blend our voices. 

We sing a wide variety of music from Brand New Australian compositions to those that are well loved standards of Male Choirs and most everything in between. Singing is known for its great health benefits, in terms of breathing, lowering blood pressure and raising a sense of self worth and enjoyment. It is part of the universal tribal nature of humanity of celebrating our lives and telling ours stories and histories through song.

In 2023 about 20 of our singers are joining us as we travel to Victoria to present workshops and performances in Bairnsdale, then across to Canberra to sing at the National War Memorial and present a concert in the ACT. Then we shall be travelling to Brisbane to sing at Pemulwuy the National Male Voice Festival 7 - 9 July.

The Grammarphones has long been one of the signature choral ensembles of Brisbane Grammar School, one of Australia’s finest private schools. It is an auditioned chamber choir for changed voices and consists of the finest tenors and basses at the School. Each year they share their music with a wide audience, performing at a range of community and school events. In 2010 they undertook a highly successful concert tour of Europe where they were awarded the City of Vienna Prize for being the outstanding choir at the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival.   In 2011 and 2017 they were one of the featured ensembles at the Pemulwuy National Male Voices Festival, Australia’s most prestigious festival of male singing. In 2014 they undertook their second overseas tour to Greece and Italy which culminated in singing mass in St Peters Basilica in Vatican City. In 2018 they toured France, England and Wales where they were placed second in the Open Youth Section of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. They are planning on undertaking a concert tour of Spain and Portugal in 2024.  They also frequently tour within Australia, having been guest artists at the Festival of Voices in Hobart on several occasions. The Grammarphones are committed to the promotion of new Australian music and have commissioned several works from well-known Australian composers such as Paul Jarman and Dan Walker.

MANCHOIR comes from Hillcrest Christian College on the Gold Coast. This Tenor - Bass ensemble is part of the College's award-winning Choral Excellence Program. They regularly perform at College events and have been first place award winners at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod. Through rehearsals, tutorials, and performances MANCHOIR focuses on developing young males with changed and changing voices with a strong emphasis on musicianship and part-singing.

SCC Young Men's Choir captures the beauty and expressive power of the changing male voice. Most of the choristers in this ensemble have already been part of SCC as trebles and they continue their musical journey through a rich repertoire, from Vaughan Williams and Poulenc through to Billy Joel. The choir has performed Sibelius's Kulervo with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and gave the world premiere of Elena Kats-Chernin's Meeting the Sun in 2015. The choir has twice been invited to Festival of Voices in Hobart - in 2015 and then again in 2018, combining with the Sydney Children's Choir. They have premiered a number of specially commissioned works for male voices by Alice Chance, Ella Macens and Dan Walker.

The Vanguard is drawn from the best of Churchie’s innovative acapella program, which tours annually to the ANZ National Vocal Awards at the Generations in Jazz Festival, Mt Gambier. Our many acapella groups perform regularly at school and community events such as Jazz Under the Stars, at which they have collaborated with guest artists such as James Morrison, Rai Thistlethwayte, Tom Burlinson, Naomi Price and Darren Percival. They have previously toured to Beijing and Longreach and are soon to travel to Japan in late 2023. All boys first stoke their love of singing (and socialising) in Senior Voices, which enjoys joining with the Churchie Symphony Orchestra for large scale works at Brisbane City Hall and at the Churchie Multimedia Gala each year. Many of these boys have sung together since primary school, and regularly invest in individual vocal lessons and group musicianship training. The Vanguard are excited to make their Pemulwuy debut in 2023.
